If you’re looking for a delicious and crowd-pleasing appetizer, this stuffed mushroom recipe is perfect for you! With a savory cream cheese filling, these bite-sized appetizers are sure to be a hit at your next gathering.
Ingredients:
12 whole fresh mushrooms
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.
Clean the mushrooms with a damp paper towel, then carefully break off the stems. Chop the stems extremely fine, discarding the tough end of the stems.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and chopped mushroom stems, frying until any moisture has evaporated, taking care not to burn the garlic. Set aside to cool.
In a mixing bowl, stir together the cream cheese, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, onion powder, and cayenne until well combined. The mixture will be very thick.
Using a teaspoon, fill each mushroom cap with a generous amount of the cream cheese mixture.
Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven until the mushrooms are piping hot, about 20 minutes.
Enjoy your delicious and easy-to-make stuffed mushrooms!
