I can’t tell you how many times I’ve made Chicken Alfredo Lasagna for friends and family. It’s become a delightful staple that brings everyone together with its rich flavors and creamy goodness. On those chilly nights, nothing beats pulling a bubbling, cheesy lasagna from the oven, filling the kitchen with the warm, comforting aroma of melting cheese and garlic. It’s a dish that evokes memories of cozy gatherings and laughter, and believe me, the seconds are always requested!
This recipe is inspired by my love for classic lasagna but with a delicious twist. Instead of the traditional meat sauce, we use tender chicken and a creamy Alfredo sauce, creating layers of flavor that will have your taste buds dancing. Honestly, who wouldn’t want a slice of this creamy, cheesy goodness?
What’s in Chicken Alfredo Lasagna?
Lasagna Noodles: The foundation of our lasagna. You can use either oven-ready or regular lasagna noodles; just remember to boil the regular ones before assembling!
Cooked Chicken: Use shredded or diced chicken — whatever you have on hand. Rotisserie chicken is my go-to for convenience, but feel free to cook your own.
Alfredo Sauce: This is where the magic happens. You can make your own from scratch (it’s easier than you think!), or use a store-bought version. Just be sure to choose a quality brand!
Ricotta Cheese: This creamy cheese sets the perfect base layer for our lasagna and adds a wonderful texture.
Spinach: Fresh or frozen spinach adds a lovely green pop and a boost of nutrients. I love the way it complements the richness of the sauce.
Shredded Mozzarella: We can’t forget this gooey goodness! Mozzarella melts perfectly and gives that classic lasagna stretch that we all adore.
Parmesan Cheese: A sprinkle of Parmesan on top adds a bit of sharpness and flavor to complete our delectable dish.
Is Chicken Alfredo Lasagna Good for You?
Well, like most delectable comfort foods, moderation is key!
Chicken: A fantastic source of lean protein, chicken helps support muscle growth and repair. Plus, it’s filling!
Alfredo Sauce: While it adds a glorious creamy texture, Alfredo sauce can be high in calories and fats, particularly if store-bought. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could make a lighter version using low-fat milk or Greek yogurt.
Spinach: Leafy greens like spinach are packed with vitamins A, C, and K, plus essential minerals. Not to mention, they offer antioxidants that are beneficial for your body.
If you want a slightly healthier take, feel free to swap out half the pasta for sliced zucchini or eggplant, or use whole grain noodles for added fiber!

How to Make Chicken Alfredo Lasagna?
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. If you’re using regular lasagna noodles, boil them according to the package instructions; if you’re using oven-ready, skip this step!
3. In a medium bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, spinach, a pinch of salt, and pepper. If you want to add any fresh herbs like basil or parsley, mix it in now!
4. In a greased baking dish, spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom to prevent sticking.
5. Place four lasagna noodles on top of the sauce, followed by half of the shredded chicken, half of the ricotta-spinach mixture, and one-third of the mozzarella.
6. Drizzle a layer of Alfredo sauce over cheese, and repeat the layers until you reach the top. End with a layer of noodles topped with the remaining Alfredo sauce, mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
8. After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for about 10 minutes before slicing. This helps to set the layers.
Serving Suggestions and Creative Twists
Feel free to get adventurous! You could add sautéed mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, or even some garlic for extra flavor. Pair this lasagna with a fresh garden salad and perhaps a glass of white wine if you’re feeling fancy!
