Servings: 10 Cookies | Prep Time: 10 Minutes | Total Time: 10 Minutes | Course: Dessert | Cuisine: American
These delightful Nutella cookies require only three simple ingredients and absolutely no cooking or baking. With just a few minutes of prep, you'll have a batch of scrumptious cookies that are sure to satisfy your sweet cravings!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Nutella
- 2 tbsp coconut flour or 6 tbsp superfine almond flour
- 2 tsp water (or 1 tbsp water for almond flour version)
Instructions:
-
Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
-
In a medium bowl, add Nutella and flour. Do not add water yet. Mix and stir until the flour is completely incorporated into the Nutella.
-
Now, add in the water. Stir until the water is fully absorbed, and the spread becomes very thick. Initially, the mixture may appear very wet, but once the water is fully incorporated, the dough will become dry and thick.
-
Scoop out 1 tbsp of dough, roll it between your palms to form a ball, and place it onto the prepared baking sheet. Flatten the ball into a disk shape using your palm. You can shape or spread the cookies as much or as little as you like to achieve the appearance you desire. Repeat the process with the remaining dough.
-
Place the cookies in the fridge to set for about 15-30 minutes. They can be enjoyed straight out of the fridge, or you can let them soften for a few minutes at room temperature.
Notes:
-
Make sure to fully mix together the flour and Nutella before adding the water. If you add the water at the beginning, the dough will be too thick to mix properly. The purpose of adding water is explained in more detail in the body of the post.
-
These cookies have a sweet taste, so I made them slightly smaller than an average cookie. However, you can adjust the size to your preference.
-
The post provides more details on the differences between the coconut flour and almond flour versions. The almond flour version is slightly softer and has a nuttier flavor, which I personally prefer.
-
For those who prefer less sweetness, you can add 1-2 tbsp of cocoa powder to the cookie dough. Mix it with the Nutella first and then incorporate the flour.
-
If you like, you can sprinkle coarse sea salt on top or add chopped chocolate for extra flavor and texture.
-
Estimated nutrition information is provided for the coconut flour version.
With just a jar of Nutella, some flour, and a bit of water, you can whip up these delightful no-bake cookies in no time. They're perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth, and you'll love how simple and delicious they are. Enjoy!
